We live in a time of accelerating technological advancements and lots of start ups. A Finnish supercar start up by the name of Toroidion brought their 1000kW all-electric concept to the land of the rich and the Top Marques Monaco show.
Emerging from the country that gave us Angry Birds, comes the 1MW supercar with a sleek aerodynamic shape and funky mirrors that resemble something out of Avatar. The company is shooting to match the Koeninsegg One:1 from neighboring Sweden which makes about 60 horsepower more from its 5.0-liter twin-turbo V8. It aims to produce a race and street version that will feature lightweight swappable batteries.
No further specs were released but looking at the photos and comparing them to a C6 Corvette we can see the wheelbase if quite a good match. We also see that the front and rear overhang is pretty similar along with the location of the brake calipers. They may have used some suspension components from the C6 or it may be a complete re-body but we won’t know for sure until further specs are released.
The dash and interior look quite simplistic and would only be suited for a racetrack as airbags and approved seat belts do not seem to be in the pictures. I would rank this above the Lyons LM2 because it actually has paint and visible brakes but slightly below the Arrinera as we haven’t seen run or move yet.
